Tiruvottriyur Tyagayyar was born in the year 1854 and was a pioneer in Carnatic music. He was a popular music composer. He was born to Veena Kuppayyar, who was a renowned music composer as well. The songs and music that he composed were mainly in Telugu language.
He died in the year 1917.
