Delhi Garden festival is organized by Delhi Tourism for three days. Delhi Tourism has been organizing Garden Festival for the last 23 years. In 1988, the first festival was held in a DDA Park at Greater Kailash. Here several flowers and unusual plants are shown. The entry is open to all and a nominal price is charged. The Garden Festival is either held at Said-ul-Ajaib, also known as Garden of five senses. It displays gorgeous flowers, trees, alongside rockeries, fountains, concept centered gardens, lily, horticultural demonstrations. It showcases a large number of selections of flower like dahlias, roses, potted plants, bonsai, residence plants and others.
Flowers arranged inside the preferred Japanese art of flower arrangement, Ikebana, medicinal plants, hanging baskets, garden gear, components, fresh new plants and everything associated to garden and gardening are shown. Garden festival is a treat to gardening enthusiasts and horticulturists as it helps them in knowing more about the science of gardening. The place is also enjoyable and frolic for young children of all ages. Several Asian countries participate inside the festival. The Garden Tourism Festival also hosts a number of cultural performances which include painting competitions for the children, art camps for the youngsters.
