Comix.India operates on a profit-sharing basis and the returns form the sales of the magazine are shared by all the contributors. A co-operative system is followed, according to which each of the authors are considered part publisher and owner of Comix.India. This guides the success of the comics magazine. The writers also have the option of purchasing the comics from the official website at a discounted rate, provided particularly to the authors, in case they want to conduct direct sales.
The copyright of the various stories are occupied by the creators, writers and illustrators. Comix.India was formed with the objective of creating a platform for showcasing the works of both experienced and new comics creators and also to develop a culture of reading and improving the state of comics in the country, which is not focused on a particular genre or reader.
Development of Comix.India
Being a self-published magazine, Comix.India is not pressurized by the objective of recovering investments. Thus the magazine takes up various challenges and risks in order to improve the state of contemporary Indian comics. Comix.India also aims in promoting new talent and provide them adequate opportunity to hone their skills and take the comics medium to new heights. As the comics magazine is distributed by utilizing the internet, the potential readers for Comix.India is extended throughout the world. The comics anthology aims to be produced monthly as a commercial magazine and develop its readership further in the near future.
