History of Alisagar Deer Park
Alisagar Deer Park houses a man-made lake or reservoir, named Alisagar. This was constructed prior to the construction of the park. Thus the park was named after the name of the reservoir. The reservoir was constructed by the Nizam of the state in the year 1931. The deer park was established in the year 1985 in order to preserve the different species of deer and to create a natural habitat for them. The Alisagar Deer Park also reflects the rich and elegant lifestyle of the Nizams of the region. The attractiveness in the reservoir is enhanced with the hillocks and the gardens that are decorated with flowers of distinct colours.
