Udhuwa Lake Bird Sanctuary
: is situated close to the Ganges and comprises of twin lakes of Pataura of 155 Hectare and Berhale 410 Hectare. Animals like Wader, Lapwing, Plover, Wagtail, Egret, Heron, Ibis and Stork are found here. Apart from these many birds and reptiles are also found here.
Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park
Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park is located at Chakla in the Indian state of Jharkhand
. The Park houses in captivity the wild animals of various species, such as Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat, Hyaena, Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, Jackal, Fox and others.
Palkot Wildlife Sanctuary
Palkot Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at Palkot in Gumla District, Jharkhand. It was established in the year 1990. The sanctuary is rich in flora and fauna. The sanctuary comprises of dry Deciduous Forests and has animals like Leopard, Sloth Bear, Jackal, Monkey, Porcupine, Hare etc.
The Jaivik Udyan of Jharkhand is located at a distance of about 16 kms from the capital city of the state of Jharkhand. It houses a wide variety of vegetation and has different kinds of animals.
Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary
The Topchanchi Wildlife sanctuary is located in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. This sanctuary covers an area of 8.75 square kilometres. The sanctuary houses Leopard, Jungle Cat, Cheetal, Barking Deer
, Wild Boar, Mongoose, Langur, Jackal, Fox, and Wild Dog etc. The Topchanchi Lake enhances the richness of the habitat and is visited by migratory winter birds too.
Hazaribagh National Park
Hazaribagh National Park is about 135 km from Ranchi is also a sanctuary adorned with scenic beauties. The park has tigers, panthers, sambhars, spotted deer, bisons and a number of mammalian faunas. There are some towers which the tourists use to view the natural wildlife.
Palamau Tiger Reserve
The Palamau Tiger Reserve lies in the western part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau
. Palamau Tiger Reserve is abode of a large number of mammals and various other wild habitats. Animals like Asian Elephant, Leopard, Wild Dog (Dhole), Jungle Cat, Wolf, Small Indian Civet, Jackal, Striped Hyena and Sloth Bear. Also few Indian Bison, better known as Gaur and also Sambar, Spotted Deer are found here. Even birds like birds like Lesser Adjutant, Black Stork, Woolly-necked Stork, Painted Stork, Grey Heron, Black Ibis, Stork-billed Kingfisher are also seen here.
