Abbot Mount is a beautiful and picturesque place located at a height of 6500 mts above sea level. It is located in the Champawat District
state. Abbot Mount is 80 kms away from Tanakpur Raiway Station and 8 kms from Lohaghat. It is also popularly written as Abbott Mount and Abott Mount. It offers salubrious, serene and tranquil environment. The enchanting and exquisite snow covered Himalayan Mountain peaks can be seen from Abbot Mount. It is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city and there are 13 scheduled cottages located in the hills.
One of the nearest towns located near Abbot Mount is Lohaghat. This particular hill station was founded by John Harold Abbot, a businessman from England, and was named after the founder.
