This beautiful waterfall is nestled in the Shervaroyan hill range in the Eastern Ghats. It is located in the Yercaud of Tamil Nadu. It is situated at a distance of three kms from the Yercaud hill station.

Killiyur Waterfalls provides breathtaking sight to its visitors. The waterfall collects the surplus water of the Yercaud Lake and other surrounding lakes which falls in the form of a stream from a height of 300 feet. Surrounded by some of the evergreen forests, this waterfall is thick and rich during and after the monsoon season. The water flows from a giant lake into the Yercaud valley. People can enjoy a splendid walk through the long stretched forests that form the background of the waterfalls.
Killiyur Water fall runs through steep hilly terrain. The steep mountain rock which lies beneath the waterfalls provides some of the most attractive sights of the area. Situated at the middle of greenery, this is one of the most pleasant sites of Tamil Nadu. The ideal time to view this waterfall is during monsoon when the water levels are at the maximum.

Along with its rocky waterfalls, the place is also known for the temple of Shevaroyan which is located on the top of the Shevaroyan hill. This is mainly worshipped by the local tribal people. This is located at a height of 5326 feet which is the highest pointing Yercaud. This temple has dark and narrow caves inside which god Sevarayan and goddess Kaveri are seated. The local people believe that god Sevarayan is the protector of nearly 67 villages that surround Yercaud. The local legends believe that the temple is so deep that it touches Kaveri River.
