Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) is the entry level test that is held for admissions in several undergraduate degree programmes. It includes engineering, architecture and pharmacy programmes. This entrance test is conducted by Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan.
 Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) is the admissions test that is organized by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. This entrance test is conducted for admissions into the first year of several undergraduate professional degree and diploma courses. The degree courses offered are in fields like engineering / architecture / pharmacy and the diploma programmes is offered in pharmacy. These undergraduate degree programmes are offered in a number of colleges throughout the state of Rajasthan. Students who are interested in taking admissions in any of these courses need to appear for and obtain good merit rankings in Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET). The participating institutes of Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) include both government aided and private colleges of Rajasthan. This entrance examination is officially abbreviated as "RPETEAP" and it stands for "Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy".

Application Forms for Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET)
The candidates can obtain the application forms for Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) by paying the requisite amount. The application form of this entrance test along with the information brochure that comprises the detailed information of Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) can be obtained from the office of the conducting Board. The candidates can also get the information brochure and the application forms from the Government Polytechnic Colleges in several places like Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Churu, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Shri Ganganagar, Sirohi. Moreover, the candidates can also obtain the application forms through post by sending a bank demand draft of the requisite fee drawn in favour of Coordinator RPETEAP, payable at Jodhpur. The students need to send the completed application forms before the last date of submissions. Along with the filled in application forms, the candidates need to send the attested copies of their mark sheets and self addressed acknowledgement card.

Eligibility Criteria for Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET)
The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) is a pass in the 12th standard examination of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or its equivalent examination. Candidate who are appearing for the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply. The minimum age limit for this entrance test is 16 years.

Bachelor of Engineering Courses
For admissions in the B. E degree courses, the candidates need to have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and any one of these subjects - Chemistry, Bio-Technology, computer Science or Biology (as optional subjects).

Bachelor of Architecture Courses
For getting admissions in the B. Arch degree courses, the candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics as the major subject and any of these subjects - Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering Drawing or Physics with a minimum of 55% marks in total.

Bachelor of Pharmacy /Diploma in Pharmacy
For admissions in B. Pharma / D. Pharmacy courses, the candidates need to have passed 10+2 level examination with Physics and Chemistry as major subjects along with any of these subjects - Mathematics, Bio-Technology, Computer Science or Biology (as optional subjects).

    • Pattern of Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET)
    The examination pattern of Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) comprises four main papers. Paper I consists of objective types of questions in Physics and Chemistry. It carries a total of 100 questions each carrying 1 mark (means total 400 marks). Paper II consists of objective types of questions in Mathematics. It carries 50 questions and a total of 200 marks. Paper III comprises objective types of questions in Biology. It carries 50 with a total of 200 marks. And lastly paper IV is basically an Aptitude test with two different parts, each part carrying 100 marks. Part A comprises objective types of questions and Part B measures the drawing aptitude of the candidates. The medium of this entrance test can be either English or Hindi.
