Zee Cine Awards is an esteemed award ceremony organized by the entire Zee network. It is a popular choice award in which the film professionals of Hindi film industry are commemorated for their artistic and technical eminence. The year 1998 marked the introduction of this award ceremony. In the ceremony, a number of admired luminaries and Bollywood professionals gather to celebrate the works and achievements of Indian cinema. The event witnesses dazzling performances and award presentations. Awards are presented under varied categories to honour and appreciate the works of various Bollywood personalities in diverse cinematic fields.
14th Zee Cine Awards
14th Zee Cine Awards was held on 8th February 2014 in the city of Mumbai for honouring the best films of the previous year, 2013. Co-hosted by the Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh, the event was aired on 23rd of February on multiple channels. Over years the Hindi film industry has witnessed many intriguing stories which formed the base of many Bollywood classics. The nominations for Zee Cine Awards for Best Story included Anand Rai for Raanjhanaa, Ayan Mukherjee for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Pubali Chaudhari, Supratik Sen, Abhishek Kapoor and Chetan Bhagat for Kai Po Che, Jaideep Sahni for Shuddh Desi Romance, Ritesh Batra and Rutvik Oza for The Lunchbox and Shagufta Rafique for Aashiqui 2. The award in this category was won by Pubali Chaudhari, Supratik Sen, Abhishek Kapoor and Chetan Bhagat for authoring the story for the movie Kai Po Che.
