The Tirupatisaaram Temple is located atTiruppatisaram near Nagarkoil (Kanyakumari). The presiding deity Tirukkuralappan or Venkatachalapati is in a seated posture facing east. Taayaar here is Kamalavalli Naachiyaar (residing on his chest). Venkatachalapati is flanked by six of the saptarishis in the sanctum. There is a shrine dedicated to Rama and Agastyar outside the sanctum. There is a shrine to Natarajar with Sivakami and Vinayakar to the left of the sanctum. Murals here depict the 10 avatarams of Vishnu and are seen in one of the mandapams. The image is made through the kadu sarkara yoga process. The partly gold plated flagstaff was installed by Kulasekhara Alwar.
Lakshmi fearing the fierceness of Narasimha meditated upon him. Vishnu assumed the form of Shanta Swaroopam upon Prahlad's request, went in search of Lakshmi, who assumed her permanent abode on his chest. It is believed the waters of the temple tank have healing properties.
