Sumeet Savchdev started his career with few plays with Berry Johns called'munto' and Amir Raza Hussain called'50 days of War'. When he came to Mumbai, finally choose acting as his new profession. He had failed four times for entering in to Balaji Telefilms. At last he got a chance of doing a negative role in 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' as Gomzy. Through this role he made a prominent position for himself in the Indian television fraternity. He also played a negative character for the first time as Rohit in another Balaji serial 'Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat'. He was finalized to play a negative character for the second time as Swayam in the serial 'Kahiin To Hoga' but was unable to do so due to health problems. Sachdev played the lead male role of Kabir Khan in the first Muslim orientated television serial 'Khwaish'. In 'Karam Apna Apna' he played the role of Shashank.
In November 2009, Sachdev made a comeback in Balaji serial, 'Pyaar Ka Bandhan' as Ronak. Sachdev has been casted as Rudr in the Balaji serial 'Bandini'. Sachdev is married to Amrita Gujral on December 9, 2007. Sachdev made his directorial debut in short film Rehman Saheb Ko Phone Karna Hai. In 2003 and 2004 he received awards for his role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
