Iqbal Khan was a college drop out. Came to Mumbai with the hope of modelling and entering into acting as such John Abraham. But his bad luck, he didn't click in films. His debut film was 'Fantoosh', which was not a hit. Again he tried his luck in 'Bullet', which was again failed in Box Office. After struggling a year he had tasted the success in the small screen as Angad Khanna in his debut serial with Balaji Telefilms, 'Kaisa ye pyar hai'. After that he got chance in few more popular serials as,'Kkavyaanjali' and 'kahin to hoga'.
Iqbal is completely a foody person and he is a non-vegetarian. Khan is a workaholic, for which several times he was admitted in hospitals, due to over loading and stress in work.
Iqbal's last hot serial is 'Karam apna apna'. His rock star image is much more appreciated by the audience. He had also undertaken cameo roles. And in every character he lived up to the expectation of the audience. His coming up serial is 'Chhoona he Aasmaan', as an Air force officer. That serial is producing by Miditech, the same company which produced 'Indian Idol-3' and 'Saara Akaash'.
With Neha, his co-actress in 'Kaisa ye pyar hai', he won the best couple award, in Sony Telly Award Function.
