Practice of Detoxification Mudra
Detoxification Mudra can be done by placing each thumb on the inner edge of the third joint of the ring finger. This action is repeated with both hands. While performing this Mudra, with thumb (thumb represents fire which burns down the barriers between Earth and Heaven) and the ring finger (ring finger represents Earth), all other fingers are relaxed and extended. One can hold this Mudra for as long as he wants. In addition to that an enema, every second day, can occasionally support the detoxification process with a compress. Detoxification Mudra can be practiced any time like while meditating, while relaxing, while riding on the subway, or taking a walk.
Diet for Detoxification Mudra
It is rather important for the person to take adequate rest during this period. During this period, which generally lasts for 3-5 days, the person should eat simple food that can be digested easily such as potatoes, rice and steamed vegetables that contain leaves. It is also necessary to drink adequate water or tea in between meals. While practicing Detoxification Mudra, it is also suggested to use potato compress as it draws out the toxins from the body. This is generally done in support of the detoxification process and may be placed on the liver area to attain utmost effect. Apart from the body, it is also important to detoxify and purify the mind by releasing mental blockages and negative energy.
