Shriram and Fateh Krishna Sharma are Raslila artists who do this in partnership. Shriram was born in a family of hereditary kathavacbaks or tellers of traditional tales in Ghangoli, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. As a boy, he became a member of his uncle's Raslila troupe, where he learnt to act and sing. At the age of 20 he formed his own group. Fatehkrishna was born in Dhamsinga. He performed Raslila since his childhood, and became famous for portraying the Lord Shiva, the mythical Sudama, and the devotee Surdas. He joined Shriram's troupe, which thus gained a large repertoire of Raslila as well as Ashtayama Lila and Chaitanya Lila. They toured extensively in India and abroad.
