 Star Movies which was launched in May 1, 1994.This was one of the popular English movie channels that were introduced by the Star TV along with other Hindi movie channels. Since its launch Star movies include a number of operating channels which are featured mainly in Asia. These include Star Movies International, STAR Movies India, STAR Movies Middle East, Star movies Taiwan and Star movies Philippines. Each channel followed each other. While Star Movies International was launched in 1996 it was followed by the launching of Star movies India, Middle East, Taiwan and Philippines among which Star movies Philippines was launched in January 2010. Overall the channel run with the collaboration with 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Pictures, Columbia pictures, Paramount pictures, Universal pictures and Warner Bros. who allow the channel to feature their films o this particular channel.
