The festivals performed in the Sri Yathoktakari Perumal Temple, provide it with a majestic grandeur. The festivals of the temple represents the essence of the tradition of the temple. The famous among the festivals performed is the Brahmotsavam festival. Brahmotsavam is celebrated during the month of Panguni (March-April) i. A unique festival here is held in the month of Thai (January-February) on Magham asterism (Nakshatram). During this time the image of Yathoktakari Perumal and the image of Tirumazhisai Azhvar of this temple is made to visit the Orikkai village near Kanchi in connection with the legend of the stay of the trio-Lord Yathoktakari, Tirumazhisai Azhvar and Kannikannan at this place after they left Kanchi for a short while. During the festivals a chunk of people gathered in the temple precincts to observe the festivals. The festivals thus reveal the very essence of the heritage of the Vishnu Temple of Sri Yathoktakari Perumal.
