Narendra Sena was succeeded by his son Prithvi Sena II. In some of the inscriptions he has been described as one who recovered the lost prestige of his dynasty. He had to face many enemies who were probably Nalas and Traikutas. Prithivi Sena made Padampur as his capital. He defeated the Nala king of Bastar and firmly established himself in the east.
