Vajreshwari temple is a medieval shrine, located in Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh. The temple is supposed to be 1000 year old, consecrated to Goddess Vajreshwari-the goddess of lightening. Erected in the Shikhara style of architecture, Vajreshwari Temple is a perfect amalgamation of excellent carvings and delicate masonry. The temple pillars are extensively woven with scrupulous carvings describing numerous Hindu deities. There are 18 short one-line inscriptions on the outer walls and a tiny tree-line inscription on one of the two pillars in front of the doorway of the shrine. The representation of Goddess Durga seated on a lion and Lord Vishnu (with three faces- human, lion and boar) can be witnessed in the recesses to the exterior of the temple. Vajreshwari Temple can be smoothly accessed by bus from Chamba
