Sharanabasaveshwara Shrine is located in Gulbarga, Karnataka. This Hindu temple has been built in the memory of Basavashwara, reformer and saint. To witness this antique building the travelers need to arrive at Gulbarga. Gulbarga is a unique blend of two cultures-Hindu and Mughal. On one hand one will find Khwaja Syed Mohammad Gesu, mausoleum of Feroze Shah, Haft-Gumbuz, Sultan Hasan's tomb, Khwaja Bande Nawaz, Ghias Ud Din's tomb, lawns of Mahboob Gulshan and on the other hand there is the temple of Shri Sharanabasaveshwara.

Sharanabasaveshwara Shrine, Karnataka had been constructed two centuries back. This exquisite piece of art suffered damage during the invasions by the army of the Nizam(Hyderabad). These men were called the Razakaars. The members of both the communities visit the temple. A Pancha Loha Kalasha was consecrated in the temple and this was made of gold.
