August is the best season for checking out the birds. On entering the bird sanctuary the visitors will be greeted by the chirping of the birds. Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary in Karnataka is situated on a tiny island in Tunga River. The travelers can reach this sanctuary by road via Chikmagalur and Bangalore and the nearest railway station is Kadur. Though this is a nondescript village but Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary has made it a famous tourist destination.
