Early Life of Sakshi Tanwar Born on 12th January, 1973 in Alwar, Rajasthan Sakshi Tanwar completed her graduation from Delhi. Sakshi Tanwar was all set to appear for mass communication and administrative services entrance exams after completing her graduation. As destiny would have it she was suggested by a close friend to go for the auditions of a film songs based programme titled 'Albela Sur Mela' to be broadcasted in Doordarshan. She got selected and thus her journey in the television world started. Career of Sakshi Tanwar Sakshi Tanwar was the president and secretary of dramatic society of her college. Although she had an experience of theatre but facing the camera was entirely different for her. Further, after her short stint as an anchor, she got inspired to follow an acting career in television. Initially, she started acting because of money and fame but eventually she honed up her acting skills and today she is considered as one of the fine actresses of Indian television. Some of the soaps of her initial days include 'Dastoor', 'Bhanwar', 'Ehsaas' and 'X-Zone'. Her major break was in the serial 'Rajdhani' where she played the central character. But, the most important turning point of Sakshi Tanwar's career was portraying the role of Parvati in 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' produced by Balaji Telefilms. Initially, she was a bit apprehensive when Ekta Kapoor offered her the role of 'Parvati'. However, after listening to the script Sakshi Tanwar decided to do the role and as they say it the rest is history. She won several awards and a lot of appreciation for portraying this role.  As per this actress, she prefers to be a director's actor as it helps in bringing out the best performance. Further, it also improves her performance level. Sakshi Tanwar is a spontaneous actress and she says that she would like to do any kind of challenging role. She looks for the scope of portraying emotions as well as the comfort level of portraying that character before selecting any script. Sakshi Tanwar believes that acting is depicting any character with 100 percent passion.
