Neiyyur is a developing village situated in 1km from Monday Market at Tamil Nadu, India. It is also a town Panchayat of Kanyakumari district. The nearest major towns are Thiruvananthapuram 70kms and Nagercoil 18kms. The nearest railway station is Eraniel Station. It is also famous for having the first cancer research centers in all of India. The airports closer to this town are the Madurai, Tuticorn and Thiruvananthapuram airports.

People here are friendly towards tourists and the whole town-village has a peaceful environment with rarely seen crimes. Many ponds or kollams in the native dialect found here are the Kakka Ponnu kollam etc. It is the native place of teen entrepreneur, CEO of Cubicle, Andrew Jose. The place is bordered by Eraniel, Thingal Nagar. The pin code of Neiyyur is 629802. It encompasses a total area of more than 5 sq. kms. The alternative names of Neiyyur are Neyoor, Neyyur.

Paddy fields and fresh water ponds with beautiful lotus flowers and water lilies add to the lushness and glory of this Neiyyur town. The region receives rainfall from Southeast monsoon during October and also from southwest monsoon during months of June and July.

In Neiyyur, 10 % of the population is below six years of age. There is an immense development in the literacy rate of this small town. The average literacy rate of Neiyyur is 83 %, which is even higher than that of India. On individual basis male and female literacy rates are quite high i.e., male literacy is 83 % and female literacy is 82 %.
