Gheekanta Shankeshwar Teerth has been reckoned as the holy pilgrim center for the Jains Yet another famed pilgrim centre for the Jains has is located in the Gheekanta locality of Ahmedabad city. The presiding deity is Parikaryukta Bhagwan Shankeshwar Parshvanath in the 'Padmasana' (seating cross-legged) posture. It houses a 53 cm high white coloured idol. The temple has a plebian, low ceiling structure, devoid of nay kind of medieval craftsmanship. People flock this temple for worship on the 1st and 15th day of every month and also on Sundays, Other deities worshipped are Adinath, Lord Shantinath, Parshva Yaksh and Padmavathi Devi.
