Chandogya Upanishad is associated with the Kauthuma Shakha of the Sama Veda. It is part of the Chandogya Brahmana, which has ten chapters. The Chhaudogya Upanishad comprises of eight chapters, and commences on the Om Mantra. Chandogya Upanishad is the part of Chandogya Brahaman that contains ten chapters. The 14th Khanda of Chapter Seven of Chandogya Upanishad states about the prayer of a seeker of eternal life. According to it the akasa has been formed of name and form. That which exists beyond the name and form is known as Brahman. It is immortal and fearless. It is the real Self and the universal soul. It chants a mantra that relates that it shall obtain the assembly and chamber of the Prajapati. By this, it shall obtain the glory of Brahmins, kings (Kshatriyas) and Vaishyas.
