With the boom of extremely talented actors in the television industry, the small screen audience saw the emergence of another talent named Jagmeet Samunderri. It was indeed a long struggle to make his mark since the time he set out to establish himself as an actor. Recently the television viewers spotted his talent in the Sony Sab TV show titled 'Sab Golmaal Hai'. He is the son of an agricultaralist and is armed with a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Punjab University. The audiences are surprised by his immense talent, which he displays in the comedy show. He has also tried his hands in other popular television shows like 'Awaz' for Zee Television, 'Crime Patrol' for Sony Television', 'Aap Bitti' for Doordarshan. But the major turning point of his career remained to be the comic role that he got to play in 'Sab Golmaal Hai'.
In a recent interview Jagmeet Samunderri claimed that the only reason as to why he jumped to the offer of being a part of this show is its concept. He was thrilled when he heard that he had to play pranks on people and make them have a hearty laugh. He claims that comedy is very difficult and the work of a comic actor does not get popular from the very first instant. He is also thankful to the makers of the show for bringing in such a unique concept to entertain the audience. He also asserts that the best thing about this serial is its spontaneity and it is the only factor that adds thrill to the life of the people.
There is also not a single retake or script in the whole serial and the shooting begins with just one basic idea. He also went on to reveal that they keep on having funny shows with guests coming in every episode and it also turns out to be quite enjoyable while enacting the scenes by coming up in different roles, that of a 'punditji' or a priest, a eunuch or a courier-boy. They were also lucky to have some celebrity guests like Raageshwari, Asawari Joshi of 'Office Office' fame and the popular cricketer Atul Wassan.
Jagmeet Samunderri was so confident about his immense acting potential that it did not go unnoticed even in the Bollywood flick 'Haayein', based on the riots of 1984 and in which he was playing the role of a terrorist. The very firt film assignment in his life is that of being the Assistant Director with Veeru Devgan, father of the renowned Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan in the Bollywood chartbuster 'Hindustan Ki Kasam'. But the most memorable moment in the life of this actor is that of a 35-feet live jump while shooting for a Punjabi video music album called 'Khadka hadka'. He is also fortunate enough to be blessed with a God-gifted voice and his ability to modulate it accordingly. This is probably one of the prime factor due to which he could accomplish various assigments for History Channel. About his short acting life he claims, "I have had no godfather in the film world and have really worked very hard to get good roles. There have been times that there have been long working schedules and I could not sleep for 48 hours". As of now the actor is looking forward to his forthcoming release, a Punjabi movie titled 'Lal Chrian' which is directed by Jasbit Singh Sethi' in which he plays the role of a protagonist. It is an obvious expected from an actor of such intensity that he will wak many more miles before he quits his acting career.
