The very handsome and talented actor Gautam Chaturvedi has been essaying the role of Gaurav 'bhaiya' in the Balaji blockbuster show 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' ever since it was launched on the small screen. His extreme potential in the art of acting has made him a household name. From the initial stages only his character has been overshadowed by that of Om's (played by Kiran Karmakar). He claims that he is both delighted and wary about the development of his character in the soap. But his character is always seen in positive shades respecting the elders and obeying their decisions.
Gautam Chaturvedi claims that the only reason as to why he chose to stick to the Balaji camp was the loyalty bonus factor and also his special liking for the Aggarwal family. He had started working with Ekta Kapoor much before the Balaji camp had produced the 'K-series'. He had meted out brilliant performances like 'Mano Ya Na Mano', 'Ghar Ek Mandir' and 'Itihaas'. He claims that he has stuck onto his role just because he believes that the soap queen is the best to judge his potential.
On his personal life Gautam Chaturvedi is happily married to Martha who is an airhostess by profession. Love blossomed between them while they were still pursuing their academic career. They also have two kids. Very few people are aware of the fact that this talented actor is an avid tennis player. From a very tender age he has been harboring the dream of becoming an army officer and had also cleared the exams. He also dreamt of playing a doubles match with the Indian tennis player Sania Mirza. But destiny had other plans in store for him. About his acting career he claims, "There was a twist in my career and I was hijacked into acting by destiny". However he is not too keen on joining the Bollywood Film Industry. As of now Gautam Chaturvedi is happy with the way his career has been shaping up in the present times.
