Shilpa Anand, born on 10 December 1980 is an Indian small screen and big screen actress. She is the younger sister of Sakshi Shivanand, a popular actress from Karnataka. Shilpa Anand was born in South Africa and did her schooling there. After completing her education, she came back to India along with her family and then she started her acting career in Mumbai. She studied at the Punjab University, obtaining a Masters in Computer Applications (MCA).
Shilpa essayed the role of Dr. Ridhima Gupta in the hugely hit daily 'Dill Mill Gayye', which is also a sequel to the earlier launched, hit daily 'Sanjeevani-A Medical Boon'. Her first brush with the glamour world happened with modelling and advertisements and followed by South Indian movies.
Shilpa Anand shot to fame happened with 'Dill Mill Gayye', which was broadcasted on Star Plus channel. In this soap she plays the character of a doctor who is also the daughter of the dean of the hospital Sashank Gupta (played by Mohnish Behl). She has also starred in a Bollywood movie named 'Iqraar-By Chance' but the film failed to create a huge impact on the silver screen audiences. An actress with such great potential is sure to create waves on the screen in the near future.
