The architecture of this mosque exhibits Mughal style. The mosque is believed to have been constructed in the medieval century. The Pathar Masjid is popular for its fluted minarets attached to its back wall that are built of red sandstone. Floral designs carved in low relief decorate the ceiling of the mosque resting on pillars.
There is a 'qibla' (the direction of Ka aba in Mecca) in the centre of the western wall. It is flanked on either side by two arched niches inscribed with verses from the Quran. Later, the masonry terrace that forms the frontcourt was added. The pillars are also well decorated with floral designs. Again, the bases over the mouldings show 'chaitya'- window motifs.
