 The immensely popular adventurous show Special Squad is all about the activities of three selected detective profile who works for a special unit of the police. In fact it is a elite investigative arm of the Mumbai Police Department that deals with cases which remain unsolved even by the police department. In fact with the launch of this serial Sony Entertainment Television has expressed its desire to break free from the monotonous chores of the typical 'saans-bahu' flicks.
The brilliance by the makers of the show Special Squad is evident from the starcast, which includes immensely talented and hugely popular small screen actors like Gauri Pradhan, Pankit, Bhanu Uday, Raj Banerjee, Kuljeet Randhawa, Iqbal Azad, Manawa Naik and other such gifted actors. The superb and efficient detectives take on the modern day criminals who get away with their crimes not only by means of sheer intelligence but also by various efficient technical devices. In fact this cell deals with cases, which are ingeniously designed and brilliantly executed. The lead detective of the show Bhanu Uday is driven to the point of obsession to solve the cases because it is due to one unsolved case that he has lost his beloved family which comprised of his wife and his lovely child. The very talented Nand Kumar Kale was the director of the series.
