The young and talented actor Romit Raj is the latest face on television known for his brilliant acting flair. This actor was born on 9th July in the year 1980. He feels that he started his journey as an actor from the day he was born and also feels that he should have been born in a studio rather than a hospital. He started his career with regional ad campaigns in Kolkata. Then he shifted to Mumbai and took part in one ad campaign, the noted HDFC Bank commercial that was directed by Mahesh Matthai. He has reached the mark of the first film in his career at a very early phase in his career. He starred in the Bollywood flick 'Hum Dum'. It was a gameshow movie and he considers himself fortunate that he got to work with a very talented crew consisting of director Kushan Nandy and producers like Shyam Shroff. At this point of his career he also got to work with the Star Plus channel in the very popular show 'Shakalaka Boom Boom'.
Romit Raj claims that acting is all about observing and producing emotions and feelings and he would like to thank every person he has known till date as he is of the firm belief that there is a significant contribution of all his viewers in every role that he plays. Recently he is seen as the bad boy in the popular Zee show 'Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan' in which he plays the role of the much-pampered son who turns evil and hostile towards his parents and brutally tortures them along with his wife. In fact he has got so much into the skin of the character that his mother is afraid to watch the show of his son at night and only sees it in the afternoon slot. It is indeed good going for the career of Romit by giving his mother nightmares, which actually results in extreme delight.
The popularity of Romit Raj on the small screen explains the fact as to why this dude is all smiles forever. He is also seen meting out a very impressive performance in another Zee daily titled 'Maayka'. Here he plays the role of a lover who turns obsessive as he sees his love getting married to his own brother. Here also he is a favorite and is very much adored by his fan following. In spite of getting so much of fame and recognition he was very sad to know that he could not be a part of the Bollywood flick 'Mummyji' starring Jackie Shroff and Kiron Kher. He could not afford to shoot for the movie as he was tied up with the daily. The director of the movie however wanted him desperately to be a part of this project. Unfortunately his unavailability was convincingly consoled by the director telling him to keep himself free for his upcoming projects. He is in fact the latest 'munda' who wants to make it real big in the Bollywood Film Industry. He not only wants to be a part of the crows. He wants to set his own standards in the film industry.
