The very talented actor Rakesh Paul has wooed the audience by the role of an illiterate man in the popular daily 'Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki'. He claimed that it was quite a plum role and would help him to display his acting skills to an extreme extent. His character is named Dev who is in fact a very lively and humorous character. He hails from the Indian state of Bihar and shifts to the tinsel town to earn a lot of money at the cost of being a jobless fellow. He is pampered by all the members of his family and can actually be described as a fellow who is good for nothing. To replace the veteran actor Aamir Ali who was regarded as the main USP of the show, the entry of Rakesh Paul is intended to add more spice to the show.
Recently Rakesh Paul is concentrating on the show called 'Sab Ka Bheja Fry'. It is considered as another hilarious show. The reason stated by him as to why he took up the earlier show, he stated that he is very fond of Rajashree Productions and he could not refuse them when he was offered the role. In fact he was also thrilled about enacting the character of Dev who had so many shades attached to his personality. His character was that of a dumb with sparkling touches of wit and humor and this in turn is believed to raise the USP of the show. He has also done a lot of homework for the show and tried learning a lot of Bihari words and also adapted the style of his character for a while. It is hoped that this show as well as all the upcoming shows of such a talented actor clicks well with the small screen audiences.
On another sitcom, which is broadcasted on the Sahara, channel Rakesh Paul is well complimented for his character portrayal. He enacts the role of the forgetful adman Gogo. He claims that it was a hilarious role and his forgetfulness lands him in all kinds of comic situations. In fact it is said that the success of the show is inevitable as he is back to doing in what he does best. He also has another reason to celebrate as he is looking forward to doing another comedy venture titled 'Kabhi Hero Kabhi Zero' by Anant Mahadevan, which will be aired on the new kiddie channel Hungama. He claims that comedy is serious business for him and that he works very hard to make people laugh. He feels that he is fortunate enough to bag such roles, which will help him to carve a mark in the television industry.
