Manapparai is a city located in Tiruchirapalli district of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. It is situated in the southwest of Tiruchirapalli at a distance of 40 km. Geographically; the town is located between 10.6° North latitude and 78.42° East longitude at a height of 172 metres (564 feet) above mean sea level. The NH 45 passes through Manapparai. The nearest airport is the Tiruchirapalli Airport and the nearest airport is the Manapparai Railway Station on the Tiruchirapalli-Dindigul rail route.
According to the Indian Census report of 2001, Manapparai had a population of 35,644. Males and females account for an equal proportion of the place.
