Kottaiyur Temple, Tamil NaduKottaiyur Temple is an ancient temple nestled in Chettinadu in the Tamil Nadu state of India. This temple is known for housing a 60-feet high five-tiered gopuram atop the entrance. Kottaiyur temple is also known as Kodeeswaram.

Attractions of Kottaiyur Temple
The temple has two prakarams. An image of Manu needhi Cholan`s episode is seen near the second gopuram. There is a separate vimanam for Somaskandar temple here. Vinayakar here is known as Kotivinayakar, and the image here is composed of several Vinayakars. Seventh century inscriptions are found here in addition to inscriptions dating back to the 12th century that refer to the Eragaram Tevara Vaippustalam nearby.
