Ichchapuram is a town in Srikakulam district of the southern state of India, Andhra Pradesh. Geographically, the town is located between 19.12° North latitude and 84.7° East longitude at an average elevation of 7 metres (22 feet) above mean sea level. Ichchapuram is very close to the commercial capital of Orissa, Berhampur.
The Census report of India published in 2001 states that Ichchapuram had a population of 32,650. Gender wise males constitute 48% of the population and females constitute 52% of the population. In Ichchapuram, 13% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate of the town is 53% which is lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. Out of it, the male literacy rate is 64% and the female literacy rate is 44%.
