Gosaiganj is a town in Lucknow district of the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh. The geographical location of this place is between 26.77° North latitude and 81.12° East longitude at an average elevation of 113 metres (374 feet) above mean sea level.
As of the 2001 India census report, Gosaiganj had a small population of 8969. Males and females account for 53% and 47% of the population. In Gosaiganj, 15% of the population is less than six years of age. Statistics say that Gosaiganj has an average literacy rate of 51% which is lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 55% and the female literacy rate is 47%.
