Anupam Bhattacharya is a renowned Indian television actor who has become popular for his performances in various Hindi television serials such as Koshish- Ek Aashaa, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Kalash. Bhattacharya also appeared in the Star One thriller series Darna Mana Hai, in an episode which was directed by Nandu Kale and also featured other actors Mihir Mishra and Shonali Malhotra. Apart from these, Anupam Bhattacharya was seen in many other Hindi television serials like Woh (1998), Kundali (2000), Kittie Party (2002), Virasaat (2002), Kahi To Milenge (2002), Dekho Magar Pyaar Se (2004), Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki (2005), Durgesh Nandinii (2007), Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (2010) and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011). Apart from doing serials, the talented actor has also done a few Bollywood movies like Killer and the 2010 film Khatta Meetha, which featured Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
In the episode of Darna Mana Hai, Anupam Bhattacharya essayed the role of the personification of anger of Mihir. In the serial Koshish Ek Asha, he portrayed the character of Sudhir, who was a conniving brother. His acting was highly appreciated and following that he has appeared in serials like Dekho Magar Pyar Se on the Star Plus channel. Again in this serial he has managed to rule the hearts by playing a negative character. In this soap he plays the nemesis of Nikki, the lead character of the play. After some episodes he took a break but was soon made to make a comeback in the serial Anupam Bhattacharya also gave a superb performance in another hit Zee show 'Who Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki.
He also worked on the show a titled Durgesh Nandini on Sony. In this serial, Bhattacharya again essayed a negative character. However he has been very much appreciated for this grey role of his. In making his Bollywood dreams come true he also made a brief appearance in the Vishesh Films thriller titled Killer. Besides that he has done cameos in many other Bollywood ventures. However the actor is expected to go a long way, as all the shows are very close to his heart and he gives the best of his performances.
