Gokhivare is a census town in Thane district of the western state of India, Maharashtra. As of the 2001 India census report, Gokhivare had a population of 19,772. Males and females account for 57% and 43% of the population respectively. In Gokhivare, 17% of the population is less than six years of age. Gokhivare has an average literacy rate of 64%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate, which is 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 73% and the female literacy rate is 53%.
