Gohand is a town and a nagar panchayat situated in Hamirpur district in the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh. It is located between 25.7° North latitude and 79.55° East longitude at an average elevation of 146 metres (479 feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 India census report, Gohand had a small population of 7069 inhabitants. Males constitute 54% of the population and females constitute 46% of the population. In Gohand, 145 of the population is less than six years of age. Gohand has an average literacy rate of 55% which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 71% and the female literacy rate is 36%.
