Ghogardiha is a town located in Madhubani district of the eastern state of Bihar. The district headquarters is in the city of Madhubani, which is in the northeast of Ghogardiha at a distance of 35 km. The nearest airport is at Patna and the Ghogardiha Railway Station on the Nirmali-Sakri rail route is the nearest railway station.
According to the 2001 India census report, Ghoghardiha had a population of 14,523 inhabitants. Males constitute 51% of the population and females constitute 49% of the population. In Ghoghardiha, 18% of the population is less than six years of age. Ghoghardiha has an average literacy rate of 43%, which is much lower than the nationwide literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 53% and the female literacy rate of 33%.
