Gandai is a town in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. It is located between 21.67° North latitude and 81.1° East longitude at a height of 328 metres(1076 feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 census report, Gandai had a small population of 11,862 inhabitants. Males and females constitute an equal proportion of the population. In Gandai, 17% of the population is less than six years of age. Gandai has an average literacy rate of 58%, which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 69%, and the female literacy rate is 47%.
