Deities of Navagraha Mandir The temple is dedicated to the nine ruling planets (Navagraha means nine planets). The nine ruling planets are named as Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangala (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node). The ruling planets have always had a significant place in Indian rituals and tradition. Significance of Navagraha Mandir The Navagraha temple is built inside the Bada Ganpati Temple just behind Makaleshwar Temple towards Harsidhhi temple. It is believed that the shrine is present there since hundreds of years. It is said that devotees are getting blessing and relief especially during their Shani -Ssde sati period which is supposed to be the most dreaded phase in one's lifetime.
