Career of Zakeer Mundampara
Zakeer Mundampara started taking football seriously at the age of 15. He played for Spandanam, Araecode and Araecode Town Team during his early days as a footballer. Zakeer Mundampara then joined Oriental High School for studies where he continued playing football. From there, Zakeer Mundampara went to Markanad Higher Secondary School and then to MES College, Mampad.

Later Career of Zakeer Mundampara
Zakeer Mundampara joined State Bank of Travancore (SBT) team in the year 2007. He proved himself to be a very good playmaker with good vision on the field.

Zakeer Mundampara with Viva Kerala
Zakeer Mundampara joined Viva Kerala in the year 2009. Viva Kerala acquired Mundampara as a midfielder from State Bank of Travancore (SBT) in 2009, when they gained promotion to the I-league. Zakeer Mundampara was the backbone of the team, helping them to avoid relegation.

Zakeer Mundampara accepted a contract offer from Churchill Brothers Sporting Club in the year 2010. Zakeer Mundampara scored his first career goal against Chirag United football Club on 10th April 2011 helping the team secure a win.

Zakeer Mundampara with Mohun Bagan Athletic Club
On 6th August 2013, it was announced that Zakeer Mundampara has signed for Mohun Bagan Athletic Club on one year deal. Zakeer Mundampara made his debut for Mohun Bagan in the I-League on 22 September 2013 against Bengaluru FC at the Bangalore Football Stadium, Bengaluru in which he played the whole match and earned a yellow card in the 83rd minute as Mohun Bagan Athletic Club drew the match 1-1.

Zakeer Mundampara with Indian National Football Team
Zakeer Mundampara made his India U-23 National Football Team debut on 19th June 2011 against Qatar U23 National Football Team coming on as a 72nd minute substitute for Shilton D`Silva.
