The movies produced by the company are appreciated by the critics as well as the audiences.

Chopra has been on the successful since he started making short films as a filmmaking student at the Film & Television Institute. He received the National Film Award for the Best Short Experimental Film for Murder at Monkey Hill (1977). His documentary, An Encounter with Faces (1978), was widely appreciated and nominated for the Academy Awards in 1979 in the non-fiction category. Now with his own production house, he has even more acclaimed films under the banner of Vinod Chopra Films.

Vinod Chopra Films, Indian Production House After the success of films like Mission Kashmir, Vinod Chopra moved his focus on hunting for new talents and went on to co-write and produce the films Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003), Parineeta (2005) and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). All three films are considered as the benchmark in the history of Indian cinema. Vinod Chopra Films have set a standard and launched the directors Rajkumar Hirani and Pradeep Sarkar as dependable names of India Cinema.

His directorial feature, `Eklavya - The Royal Guard` was a dramatic action-thriller and the film won critical acclaim, both from Indian and world press. L.A. Times stated the film to be suggesting `a lost film by David Lean`.

3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and loosely adapted from Chetan Bhagat`s novel Five Point Someone, broke all box office records in India. 3 Idiots has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India.

There are more films coming up from his diverse assortment. Vinod Chopra Films is coming up with Ram Madhvani`s Talismaan, a fantasy epic based on the hugely successful Indian novel Chandrakanta. Other Forthcoming ventures include Rajkumar Hirani`s Munna Bhai Chale Amerika, the third of the hugely successful Munna Bhai series; debutante director Rajesh Mapuskar`s Ferrari Ki Sawaari, an emotional tale of a young boy`s dream of playing cricket at Lords; and Vinod Chopra`s 50th Anniversary, An Age Old Story of Love. And also the much awaited Broken Horses, which will be Chopra`s first English language directorial feature.
