Vijay Vasanth, Tamil Film ActorBorn on May 20th, 1983, Vijay Vasanth lived in the town of Nagercoil, in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. Vijay Vasanth is an Indian actor and model, who has acted in Tamil films. He is known for films "Chennai 600028" (2007), "Naadodigal" (2009) and "Ennamo Nadakkudhu" (2014).

Career of Vijay Vasanth
Vijay Vasanth made his debut in Tamil films in the year 2007 with Venkat Prabhu`s coming –of - age sports comedy "Chennai 600028", playing the role of a member of a cricket team alongside an ensemble of film stars and newcomers. The film was a cult hit and its success prompted Vijay to star alongside several of the same co- stars in his next film "Thozha", before making a special appearance in Venkat Prabhu`s subsequent project "Saroja", both released in 2008.

Vijay Vasanth, Tamil Film ActorIn 2009, Vijay Vasanth played his first solo leading role in Samuthirakani`s drama film "Naadodigal", alongside Sasikumar and Bharani. The film, the plot of which focussed on the trio who attempt to unite their friend with his lover against the wishes of all the families involved and at a heavy cost to themselves, only to realize the lovers separate eventually, garnered highly positive reviews and became a commercial success. Vijay followed it up in 2010 with another supporting role as Gowshik in the romantic film "Kanimozhi", alongside Jai and Shazahn Padamsee, daughter of noted actors Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar. In 2011, Vijay Vasanth made a cameo appearance in Venkat Prabhu- directed blockbuster "Mankatha", and later a minor role as Paneerselvam in Shankar"s "Nanban", the 2012 Tamil remake of Rajkumar Hirani"s blockbuster "3 Idiots".

In 2013, Vijay played the lead in the thriller "Mathil Mel Poonai" alongside Vibha Natarajan, which was panned by critics and became a box office disaster. He was seen in another thriller "Ennamo Nadakkudhu" in 2014, as a young man in love who gets caught between two influential people of the society. The film received overall positive reviews. The same year, he was seen in the negatively received "Theriyama Unna Kadhalichitten". In 2015, Vijay acted in the ensemble drama "Vanna Jigina", written and directed by Nandha Periyasamy, which received mixed reviews from critics. He is filming Tamil film "Achamindri" and is also slated to appear in the sequel to the 2007 cult classic "Chennai 600028", titled "Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings" written, directed and produced by Venkat Prabhu, likely to release in early 2017.

Personal Life of Vijay Vasanth
Vijay Vasanth is the son of Indian billionaire, retail baron and politician H. Vasanthakumar, a Nagercoilite, who is the owner of one of the largest retail chains of durable goods in Tamil Nadu, Vasanth & Co. Vijay, tied the knot with Nithya on May 19th, 2010 in Chennai. The ceremony, held in Teynampet, was attended by many prominent faces of the Tamil film industry and Tamil Nadu politics, given the strong connections of Vijay and his father in both the fields.
