Vidya Sinha, Bollywood ActressesVidya Sinha was born on November 15, 1947 in Mumbai. Her father, S. Maan Singh, was an assistant director. She began modelling and acting at the young age of 18. Vidya started her film career with the film Raja Kaka opposite Kiran Kumar and Rajnigandha, directed by Basu Chatterjee. This film earned great applaud at the box office success. This was followed my many more hit films like Choti Si Baat (1975), Pati Patni Aur Woh (1977) and others.

Vidya Sinha left the film industry in the late 1980`s. She took this break to raise her daughter, Jahnavi and shifted to Australia. After her husband Venkateshwaran Iyer (1968-1996) expired, she came back to India, because of her daughter`s encouragement. This time, Vidya Sinha again started to act but in television. Vidya Sinha worked in serials like Bahu Rani (2000), followed by Kavyanjali (2004), Hum do hain Na and so on. Vidya Sinha is currently seen on prime time soaps like Zaara, Bhabhi and others.
