University is open to all irrespective of caste, creed or sex and its jurisdiction is all of Uttar Pradesh.

The university offers more than 90 programmes. It has a network of five regional centres, more than 400 study centres across the state of Uttar Pradesh. The university has brought higher education within the reach of a large segment of urban and rural population.
