Early Life of Suresh Gopi
Suresh Gopi was born in Kollam to Gnanalekshmi and Gopinathan Pillai. Suresh Gopi completed his schooling at the Infant Jesus Anglo-Indian High School at Thangasseri. He did his graduation in English Literature from Fatima Mata National College in Kollam

Career of Suresh Gopi
Suresh Gopi appeared in Odayil Ninnum, a Malayalam movie, as a child actor. His first film as an adult was as a villain in a Malayalam movie. In the 1980s he went on appearing in supporting roles or as villains. Some such of the films that deserve mention are `Irupatham Noottandu`, Rajavinte Makan and Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. His first film as the leading man was "Thalasthanam" followed by Ekalavyan and Commissioner. Al these films were based on police force.

With roles in `Pathram` (newspaper), `Lelam` (Auction) and `Vazhunnor` (The Rulers) he was established as the superstar of Malayalam film industry. Today he is considered one of the most versatile Malayalam actors. With Mohanlal and Mammootty he forms the base of Malayalam films. He is famous for his fluent dialogue delivery in the English dialect in the movies that he acts in.

Suresh Gopi, Malayam Actor The roles in which he appeared were anti-establishment roles. They were glorified by the audience. For them he became the symbol of one-man army who fights the evil and unjust so that justice prevails. The roles that Suresh Gopi essayed were part of the administration, the system yet the characters would fight corruption and raise their voice against wrongdoers. In 1997 his acting prowess was proved as "Kannan Perumalayan". This film was an adaptation of William Shakespeare`s Othello. For this film he received the National Award for best actor. He acted in soft roles from 2001-2005. In 2008, Suresh Gopi appeared in multi-starred Twenty: 20. He acted in another movie in 2010 named Christian Brothers.

Other popular films of Suresh Gopi were `Pathram` (The Newspaper), Crime File, Kashmeeram, Janadhipathyam (Democracy),Sathyameva Jayathe, Thenkasipattanam, Highway, Summer in Bethlehem, Bharathchandran IPS, `F.I.R` (First Information Report), Tiger and Chinthamani Kolacase.

Apart from films the man is also known for his charitable works. He has been involved with several charity works in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gulf and others. He often visits Sree Chitra poor home, Trivandrum with his all Kerala fans to spend the time with the inmates.

Personal Life of Suresh Gopi
Suresh Gopi married Radhika, the granddaughter of Aranmula Ponnamma, and is blessed with four children: Lekshmi Gokul, Bhagya, Bhavna, and Madhav. He is settled at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and is currently living in Sasthamangalam.
