Sucharita Datta is an Indian Kathak dancer of repute and is also an expert in Bharatanatyam and Kathakali.

She has taken training in Bharatanatyam and Kathakali under Guru Kalamandalam Venkitt from Uma Kalalayam. She has also learnt Kathak under Guru Amita Dutta.

Sucharita Datta was born to Shri. Swapan Kumar Datta. She devotes most of her time to dance in order to achieve her ambition. She performed Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Kathak, solo and in-groups throughout West Bengal including Kolkata and other parts of India, particularly in eastern India. She was awarded the first prize in many competitions and won several prizes and awards for her performance in Bharatanatyam and Kathak from the Dover Lane Music Conference, West Bengal Music Academy, and also from Dance Group Federation.

Sucharita Datta has performed in major dance festivals such as Young Talents Festival organized by West Bengal Sate Music Academy, Biswa Banga Sammelan, Uday Shankar Festival of Dance; Kathak Nrityotsav organized by the Government of West Bengal and Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Music and Dance Festival of `DAMARU`, Nivedita Centenary Festival, and Rajasthan State Music Academy. She has glorified her name in the Indian arena of classical dance and is believed to be a promising dancer of Kathak for many more decades.
