For her performance in the film, Sandeepa Dhar was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer and Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow. Sandeepa did a cameo in Dabangg 2.

Early Life of Sandeepa Dhar
Sandeepa Dhar was born in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. She did her schooling from National Public School in Bengaluru and completed her graduation in advertising from St. Xavier`s College, Mumbai. She did her early schooling from St Michael`s Convent, Mankapur, a small town in Gonda District of Uttar Pradesh.

Sandeepa Dhar is a professionally trained dancer. Having won several awards for her dancing, she is trained in Bharatnatyam for 8 years from the famous Vani Ganpati. She also trained in Jazz and Contemporary for four years from Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis.

Film Career of Sandeepa Dhar
In the year 2010, Sandeepa Dhar made her cinematic debut in Rajshri Production`s Hindi film Isi Life Mein opposite actor Akshay Oberoi. Her performance was well received, earning the actress a best newcomer nomination at the Star Screen Awards, Filmfare Awards and Stardust Awards. Sandeepa Dhar received a very positive review by the famous film critic Komal Nahta for her performance in Dabangg 2. And she also received critical acclaim for her brief but very effective performance in Sajid Nadiadwala`s Heropanti

International Entertainment Career of Sandeepa Dhar
Sandeepa Dhar is currently playing the female lead in an international musical show called "West Side Story" produced by the Australian Dance Theatre (ADT). Her character name is Maria who is a hopeless romantic and an innocent Puerto Rican young girl. She falls in love with Tony and finds herself at the centre of the violent conflict between the two gangs. The musical sow is inspired by William Shakespeare"s play Romeo and Juliet. So far the musical show has been staged in eight countries which include Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand with over 100 shows.
