He also works as a music producer and has been associated with successful Bollywood flicks like Talaash and Delhi Belly. During his days in advertising industry he has worked with many top brands of India.

Early Life of Ram Sampath
Ram Sampath was born in the year 1977 to a Tamilian father and Kannadiga mother in Mumbai. He grew up in the same city in Chembur locality and completed his schooling from OLPS High School. Both of his parents had an inclination for music. His grandfather TV Ramanujam was one of the founder member of a cultural centre in Sion, Mumbai, called Shanmukhananda Hall which was established in 1952. His ancestral house was thus often visited by leading Carnatic music vocalists and musicians. Ram Sampath also learnt music for about eight years. He attended Podar College in Mumbai where he studied commerce and played keyboard in a rock band.

Career of Ram Sampath
Ram Sampath has composed a number of advertising jingles for popular brands like the Times of India, Thums Up, Docomo, Airtel etc. In the year 2008 he recorded Indian version of the songs of Australian rock band INXS collaborating with them. In 2012 he composed the title track of the talk show Satyamev Jayate anchored by Aamir Khan. The song "Tera Rang Aisa" was written by Prasoon Joshi. Ram Sampath has also been a part of the famous television music series Coke Studio. In 2013 he composed the theme song "I Lead India" for the Times of India campaign.
Ram Sampath, Indian Movie Music Director
Ram Sampath entered the world of films in 2003 as a film score composer for the film Let"s Talk under the direction of Ram Madhvani. Subsequently he composed music for many other Bollywood flicks like Luv Ka The End, Aagey Se Right, Jumbo, Family and Khakee. He however earned recognition in the industry with the music of 2011 flick Delhi Belly under the production of Aamir Khan. He also got nominated for the Filmfare Award for the same. He next composed music for the film Talaash which was jointly produced by Farhan Akhtar"s Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions. His music in the movie met positive reviews. The combination of Javed Akhtar"s lyrics and Ram Sampath"s enchanting music created masterpiece in the film. Following this, he worked again in Farhan Akhtar"s production Fukrey. The music of the film garnered much appreciation, especially the song "Ambarsariya" which was sung by Sona Mohapatra. Ram Sampath has also judged the singing reality series MTV Rock On (Season 1) aired on MTV India along with MTV VJ Nikhil Chinapa and Kailash Kher in the year 2009.

Personal Life of Ram Sampath
Ram Sampath is married to the prominent Indian singer Sona Mohapatra since 2005 who is also his frequent collaborator and business partner in their music production house titled OmGrown Music. They met in the year 2002 when they were introduced by director Ram Madhvani.
